Green Earth Village
Town of East Gwillimbury, Ontario
The Planning Partnership has been retained to assist Royal Park Homes and Signature Development in the preparation of a sustainable development program and design for lands located within the Town of East Gwillimbury.Extensive background work had been undertaken (including a best practices review, client goal setting sessions, and site visits) in order to develop a vision for the sustainable community initiative and as a basis for a design charrette that helped to determine the preferred design for the sustainable community. Five workbooks had been prepared that included: an overview of the Green Earth Village initiative; precedent case studies; sustainable design element options and descriptions; background and visioning workshop synopsis; and, an Eco-Village Demonstration Plan.
