The Planning Partnership led a team of consultants in the preparation of six comprehensive urban corridor plans to facilitate Transit Oriented Development (TOD) adjacent to the expanding City of Houston Light Rail Transit (LRT) system.
The project, which included extensive stakeholder consultation and multi-day workshops for each of the six corridors, focused on establishing a cohesive vision and implementation plan for the redevelopment of the corridors. The consultant team identified short and long-term actions and strategies to coordinate public and private investment decisions along the corridors. As a result, future development will be of high quality and supports with the City’s vision.
The project was awarded by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and Canadian Society of Landscape Architects.
