Land Use Planner

Lama is a Land Use Planner at The Planning Partnership with several years of experience in various professional settings, including the urban planning field. Lama has an Honourary Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University. Upon completion of her Bachelor's Degree, Lama has additionally obtained a minor in Real Estate Management and a specialization in Ecological and Environmental Planning.

Specifically, her professional experience entails various planning-related disciplines including an Urban Design Intern position at the City of Brampton, a Student Consultant position at Perkins & Will, a Research Assistant position at Feed Scarborough and a Field Apprentice position at the TMU Urban Farm. Aside from the mentioned roles, Lama has several years of experience working outside of the planning realm, which additionally equips her with a diverse toolset, making her increasingly valuable to her current role as a Land Use Planner at TPP.

In her current role at The Planning Partnership, Lama works alongside a highly knowledgeable and experienced planning team, fulfilling numerous collaborative and independent responsibilities. Mainly, she is responsible for various tasks involving development projects, consisting of the preparation of planning policy and regulatory documents, planning research, completing necessary professional documents, creating planning graphics and more.

Finally, Lama is very passionate and is consistently expanding her knowledge in areas involving Ecological Planning, Urban Agriculture, Environmental Planning, Sustainable Building Practices, Indigenous Advocacy and Social and Community Planning. With that, she brings an eager willingness to learn, a passionate perspective toward ensuring intentional planning practices and a driven attitude toward fulfilling the best work possible.
